We have lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers. Everyone in your family has the opportunity to sign up and develop their swimming skills at Aquatics Academy!
At Aquatics Academy, we have designed our adult swim classes to cater to all swimming levels. Whether you are a first time swimmer or simply looking to enhance your swimming skills, we have the option for you! We have a team of highly experienced instructors who teach reputable, structured, swimming lessons that will cater to your level. Our priority is to ensure that all of our swimmer’s needs are properly focused on.
For our beginner swimmers, we focus on the basic skills required to feel calm in and around the pool. Our instructors focus on floating skills so that you can learn how to float without their help. Secondly, we focus on water safety and precautions, to ensure comfort and confidence. Thirdly, our beginner swimmers learn basic stroke skills and important breathing techniques.
These particular lessons are intended for those who are already comfortable swimming and are now looking to improve their swim strokes. These lessons are perfect for those who want to become better swimmers. You will gain more self-confidence in the deep end of the pool, and improve your fitness levels overall. The strokes that are primarily taught are; back and front crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, treading water and the swimmer’s butterfly- for more advanced swimmers.
It is really because of our amazing and highly skilled instructors at Aquatics Academy, that we are able to offer the best swimming lessons in Toronto. For adult swimmers, we offer a smaller student/instructor ratio, so that more personalized attention is given, particularly to beginner swimmers. Our instructors therefore have ample time to focus on ‘specific skill’ progress with all of their students. All of our swim teachers are certified to teach all offered levels, with the highest level of instruction, confidence, and safety.
At Aquatics Academy, we offer our Red Cross Swim accredited program, a 10-level swim program intended for kids 5 years and up. Your child will learn how to swim safely, and have fun in the process! All of our classes promote personal success and achievement on an ongoing basis. The Red Cross program focuses on both survival skills and stroke improvement. As your child’s level advances, the goal is to increase swimming distances and stroke efficiency. We acknowledge the importance of water safety and knowledge as your child enhances their skills in the pool. Our instructors also bring in various fitness modules that are created to build both physical endurance, and to encourage personal development. At Aquatics Academy, we strongly believe that swimming for your child is a lifelong activity, part of a healthy lifestyle.
Our Parents & Tots Program is truly an exceptional swimming experience, both for parents and kids. It is set up as a fun and enjoyable way for your child to get completely comfortable in the pool. From there, safety skills are taught to build confidence. The program is targeted for 4 month to 3 year old kids and takes place in the shallow water with many activities offered such as, floating, kicking, jumping into the water, and breathing techniques. We also believe in the importance of parent education, allowing for ongoing development and practice when class is completed!
